Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cook/Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where guests enjoy memorable dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients such as washing, chopping, measuring, and portioning food.
- Cook and present meals according to recipes, menus, and quality standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen areas, and utensils.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage.
- Store food correctly and check freshness, dates, and quality.
- Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams.
- Assist with menu preparation and daily specials when required.
- Manage time effectively during busy service periods.

Qualifications and Experience
- Previous kitchen or cooking experience is often preferred.
- Food Hygiene Certificate may be required.
- Formal catering qualifications can be beneficial but are not always essential.
