About the Role:
The purpose of this role is to take the strategic lead in winning and growing corporate business. You will play a key role in new business development, actively identifying and securing new corporate clients while managing and nurturing an existing portfolio. We are looking for a commercially driven, consultative professional who can identify opportunities, close deals, and build long-term client relationships.
While you'll be expected to take ownership of your accounts and deliver value to clients, you will be supported by an internal administrative team to assist with onboarding, reporting, and day-to-day account management tasks. This allows you to focus on what matters most — developing strong client partnerships and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Proactively drive new business acquisition through outreach, networking, and leveraging industry knowledge
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key clients with a focus on retention and upselling opportunities
- Lead strategic client discussions, offering expert advice on energy solutions and utility services
- Conduct Meter Operator and kVA reviews for all new clients
- Oversee Data Collector appointments and ensure data integration with our energy platform
- Collaborate with admin support to deliver seamless client onboarding, reporting, invoice validation, and supplier queries
- Keep CRM up to date with all internal and external interactions
- Ensure regular reporting to clients, demonstrating the value we deliver through savings and efficiency
- Maintain compliance with internal and client quality measures
This role would suit someone who:
- Has proven experience in energy sales, ideally as a Corporate Business Relationship Manager or in a similar client-facing role
- Is confident in developing new business and managing a personal sales pipeline
- Has experience managing customer portfolios of 1GW or more
- Demonstrates a professional and articulate telephone manner, with excellent communication skills
- Can perform well under pressure and consistently achieve sales targets
- Is highly organised, with the ability to manage their own workload and prioritise effectively
- Thrives in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
- Is commercially aware, client-focused, and enthusiastic about building long-term relationships
- Has a driven and positive attitude, with a collaborative team spirit
- Is self-motivated with a clear passion for success and business growth
- Has strong MS Office and general IT skills
- Brings experience in supplier management and coordination
- Pays excellent attention to detail
- Has a solid track record in client retention and relationship development
- Possesses strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve client and supplier issues efficiently and professionally
