Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Job Description:

We are seeking reliable and flexible Counter Balance Drivers to join our clients teams based in DE24. The successful applicants will hold an accredited Counter Balance License taken in the last 5 years.

As an agency Fork Lift Driver you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to handle various tasks related to warehouse operations, flexible to work continential shifts (12 hours, days and nights).

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all H&S rules.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, handling items of varying weights and sizes.
• Liaise with the shift team leader on order picking tasks, raising any issues or concerns to your line manager.
• Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

Experience

• Previous experience in a driving role is preferred, particularly within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Familiarity with goods in/out processes is advantageous.
• In date FLT licence (essential)
• Min of 2 years truck experience (essential)
• Experience of order picking or delivering goods to a production line advantageous.

Hours

6 am until 6 pm (30 mins unpaid break)

6 pm until 6 am (30 mins unpaid break(

Must be flexible for days and nights including weekends.

Weekly rota, which will revert to a 4 on 4 off once training period and attendance to required standard. Min 3 x 12 hour shifts per week for successful candidates up to 48 hours.

Pay

All flat rate £15.36 ph inclusive of shift allowance.
