Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a dynamic and rewarding role? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of Secondary Schools across Derby starting in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced cover staff to build confidence, develop classroom management skills, and make a real impact on students' learning.

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences

• Ensuring pupils remain on task with the work set by teaching staff

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Providing feedback to teaching staff and recording any incidents

• Previous experience working with young people is desirable

• A confident and professional manner

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

• Access to a network of supportive secondary schools across Derby

• Competitive daily rates (£90 - £120, depending on experience)

• Flexible working to suit your availability

• Ongoing training and support from an experienced team
