Cover Supervisors

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Northampton and Kettering areas. This is a daily supply role, ideal for individuals with strong experience working in UK secondary school settings who are looking for flexible work without the requirement for QTS.

You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absences
• Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task
• Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support pupil engagement and wellbeing
• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
• Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day where required

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a UK secondary school (essential)
• Confidence supervising KS3 and KS4 classes
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Reliable, flexible, and professional approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• QTS not required
