FLT & Crane Operator – Join a Growing Engineering Team

We’re currently recruiting for a reliable FLT/Overhead Crane Operator to support operations at a well-established power generation and engineering business in the UK. Key Responsibilities

Forklift Duties:

• Handle incoming and outgoing goods in the warehouse
• Safely move stock and heavy components around the facility
• Ensure loads are properly secured for transport
• Carry out daily equipment inspections and complete all required paperwork
• Flag maintenance issues and ensure regular servicing is arranged

Crane Operations:

• Operate overhead gantry cranes (handling loads up to 50 tonnes)
• Manage the loading and unloading of large or heavy items
• Select and configure lifting gear correctly for each job
• Conduct safety checks of lifting equipment before every use

Warehouse & General Site Tasks:

• Use tools and machinery to assist in production and logistics
• Pick and package items for dispatch in line with orders
• Keep the workspace clean, tidy, and compliant with safety regulations
• Follow internal quality and safety procedures (aligned with ISO standards)
• Accurately complete timesheets and submit weekly

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in warehousing, engineering, or logistics settings
• Familiarity with manual handling techniques and H&S best practices
• Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO45001, and ISO14001 procedures is beneficial
• Valid B2 Counterbalance FLT licence (essential or highly preferred)
• Prior experience with overhead crane operations, ideally up to 50T

Working Hours

We are hiring for multiple full-time roles, with fixed shift options available (no rotating shifts):

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 12:30am
