Job Title: Credit Controller (Temp to Perm)
Location: Leicester, City Centre 
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £12.21 - £13.00

About the Role:
We are working with a well-established business in Leicester that is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, ideal for someone who is confident managing end-to-end credit control and has proven experience using Xero accounting software.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the credit control function, working closely with both customers and colleagues to maintain strong financial processes and resolve queries efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the company’s sales ledger and monitoring overdue accounts
• Chasing outstanding debt by phone and email in a professional manner
• Allocating incoming payments and reconciling accounts
• Producing debtor reports and liaising with management regarding aged debt
• Handling customer queries and providing excellent service at all times
• Working closely with the wider finance team to improve processes
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar finance role
• Hands-on experience with Xero is essential
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial administration
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
