Criminal Law Solicitor - 1+ Years PQE
Location: Leicester

An established law firm is seeking a Criminal Law Solicitor to join their team. This role is ideal for a solicitor with 1+ years PQE, either already qualified as a Duty Solicitor or actively working towards qualification in this area.

The successful candidate will handle a range of criminal law matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor to develop their criminal law experience in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as a Duty Solicitor and providing advice to clients in police stations and courts

• Managing a caseload of criminal law matters, including representation in hearings and trials

• Advising clients on legal rights, options, and potential outcomes

• Preparing documentation and legal submissions relevant to cases

• Working closely with colleagues to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards

• Keeping up to date with changes in criminal law and procedure

About You:

• Qualified solicitor with 1+ years PQE, ideally with Duty Solicitor experience or working towards qualification

• Strong knowledge of criminal law and procedure

• Excellent communication and client-handling skills

• Confident and proactive in managing a caseload and representing clients

• Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure

• Committed to continuous professional development
