Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 + Excellent Benefits!
We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client (a rapidly transforming business within the food manufacturing industry) for an experienced and strategic Demand Planner. This is a key role within a dynamic supply chain team, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s ability to meet customer demands efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Demand Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the business can meet customer needs while optimizing stock levels. Responsibilities include:
- Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with business plans and market dynamics.
- Inventory Optimisation: Ensure optimal stock levels by balancing customer demand with supply capabilities, minimising stockouts, and reducing excess inventory.
- Data Analysis: Analyse large data sets to identify trends and variances, providing insights that influence business decisions.
- Performance Monitoring: Track forecast accuracy, demand variations, and key supply chain metrics, and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy and improve the efficiency of supply chain operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Demand Planner or in a similar supply chain role.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with multiple departments.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and demand planning software (experience with MRP / ERP is a plus).
