🚀 Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Nottingham)

Full-Time | Up to £40,760 p/a + On-Call Payments | 32 Days Annual Leave | Bonus Incentives

We’re looking for a Deputy Manager to help shape the future of a beautiful new children’s home in Nottingham. The client is an established national service provider with very ambitious plans for growth offering staff further opportunities for promotion. 

The home is a family style residential home rather than a specialist behavioural home managing behaviours that challenge, they provide a stable and nurturing environment for children who are in care due to unfortunate circumstances such as neglect, family breakdown or bereavement. The children in this home do not present high risk or aggressive behaviours and the home focuses on emotional support, routine and helping them thrive in a safe and caring setting.

🏡 About the Role

As Deputy Manager, you’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead, inspire, and develop a dedicated team. You’ll help prepare the home for OFSTED registration, ensure high standards of care, and play a key role in shaping a nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff, fostering a collaborative and child-centred culture
• Ensure compliance with OFSTED and safeguarding standards
• Support the well-being and development of young residents
• Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement
• Manage staffing, training, and operational efficiency
• Represent the service in the community and build strong partnerships

👤 What We’re Looking For

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards)
• Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification
• Experience in a senior role within a children’s home or supported accommodation
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A trauma-informed, person-centred approach to care
• Commitment to safeguarding and empowering young people
• Right to work in the UK, Candidates requiring sponsorship will be considered for this role
