The Opportunity
A well-established engineering and plant equipment business is seeking a Design Co-ordinator to join their technical team. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, experience in engineering design support, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects while ensuring accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and engineering team in preparing drawings, plans, and technical documentation
- Create, update, and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate project costing and materials planning
- Coordinate project schedules and ensure designs meet specifications and deadlines
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and external clients to manage design requirements
- Conduct quality checks on designs, drawings, and BOMs to ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards
- Assist with design changes, revisions, and updates as required
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for ongoing and completed projects
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in design coordination or engineering support, ideally within plant, mechanical, or industrial environments
- Proficient in CAD software and Microsoft Office
- Experience creating and maintaining BOMs
- Strong attention to detail with experience in quality checking and verification of technical documents
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
