Location: Leicester (Office-based / Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £65,000 (DOE) + package

About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager specialising in facades and cladding to join a growing contractor based in Leicester. You will manage the façade design process from pre-construction through to installation, ensuring technical compliance, buildability, and programme alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage façade design development across multiple projects

• Coordinate architects, consultants, and specialist designers

• Ensure designs comply with building regulations, fire safety, and CWCT standards

• Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and specifications

• Manage design risk, technical queries, and change control

• Support pre-construction, estimating, and delivery teams

• Attend design team and client meetings

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Design Manager (or Senior Designer) within facades and cladding

• Strong technical knowledge of façade systems (rainscreen, curtain walling, SFS, glazing, fire compliance)

• Experience working on commercial and residential projects

• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and façade standards
