Design Manager

Job Description:

A well-established and respected construction company in Leicester is seeking an experienced Design Manager to take the lead across a range of exciting, high-value projects. This role offers the opportunity to drive the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, working closely with internal teams and external consultants to achieve high-quality, buildable and compliant solutions.

The Role

• Manage and coordinate the full design process across multiple projects

• Lead design meetings, reviews and workshops with project stakeholders

• Review drawings, specifications and technical information for accuracy and buildability

• Ensure all design deliverables meet programme and quality targets

• Identify design risks and propose effective solutions

• Collaborate with pre-construction, commercial and site teams to support successful delivery

About You

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction sector

• Strong technical understanding across major building projects

• Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder-management skills

• Confident decision-maker with a proactive, solutions-focused approach

• Ability to manage design information in fast-moving project environments
