Job Description:
Join an exciting project within a leading automotive environment, supporting the development of advanced diagnostic strategies for next-generation vehicle climate systems. This role is ideal for an experienced Diagnostics Engineer with strong exposure to automotive electrical systems, diagnostic protocols and system fault analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate diagnostic strategies for automotive climate domain systems
- Lead system logic reviews, DFMEA, fault detection analysis and failure investigations
- Design, develop and validate health-check routines for service and manufacturing
- Drive root-cause analysis and define corrective actions with clear documentation
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams across hardware and software changes
- Support service engineering with diagnostic guidelines, tools and technical documentation
- Apply UDS, OBD-II and vehicle network knowledge (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
- Use diagnostic toolsets such as TOPIX and MSOSA
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven background in automotive diagnostics, service diagnostics or manufacturing diagnostics
- Strong understanding of DFMEA, fault detection and system design logic
- Hands-on experience with UDS, OBD-II and vehicle communication networks
- Experience producing diagnostic routines, service guidance and corrective actions
- Confident with diagnostic tools and automotive electrical systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Climate control or HVAC system experience
- Automotive, Electrical or Electronics Engineering background
- Familiarity with OEM processes and standards
