Domestic Gas Engineer – Install / Service & Repair

Location: Coventry
Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 + benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are recruiting experienced Domestic Gas Engineers in Coventry for either:

Installation Engineer

Service & Repair Engineer

Or a Multi-Skilled Domestic Gas Engineer covering both

This role is focused on private domestic customers, high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Important: This Is NOT a Social Housing Contract

This position does not involve housing association, council housing, voids, responsive housing maintenance, or high-volume social housing workloads.
You will work primarily with private homeowners, domestic customers and small private projects.

The Role – Domestic Private Work Only

You will carry out:

Domestic boiler installations and upgrades

Combi swaps, conversions and full system installations

Breakdown diagnostics and repair

Annual servicing

Hot water and central heating improvements

Opportunities to train in renewables (ASHP/GSHP) and air conditioning

Working hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00

Requirements

Gas Safe Registered (essential)

Minimum 5 years’ domestic installation experience

Strong technical skills in boiler installations, servicing and repairs

NVQ Level 2 or recognised apprenticeship

Excellent customer service and communication

Able to work independently

DBS check required (considered individually)

Desirable qualifications:
OFTEC, LPG, G3 Unvented, experience with Worcester Bosch / Vaillant / Baxi / Ideal.

Experience Required

Domestic heating installation: 5 years

Domestic breakdown and fault-finding (preferred)
