Domestic Gas Engineer – Install / Service & Repair

Location: Coventry
Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 + benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

No callout rota

Working hours are negotiable for a 40-hour week including 4 day work weeks

We are recruiting experienced Domestic Gas Engineers in Coventry for either:

• Installation Engineer
• Service & Repair Engineer
• Or a Multi-Skilled Domestic Gas Engineer covering both

This role is focused on private domestic customers, high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Important: This Is NOT a Social Housing Contract

This position does not involve housing association, council housing, voids, responsive housing maintenance, or high-volume social housing workloads.
You will work primarily with private homeowners, domestic customers and small private projects.

The Role – Domestic Private Work Only

You will carry out:

• Domestic boiler installations and upgrades
• Combi swaps, conversions and full system installations
• Breakdown diagnostics and repair
• Annual servicing
• Hot water and central heating improvements
• Opportunities to train in renewables (ASHP/GSHP) and air conditioning

Working hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00
Flexible working requests can be discussed.

Requirements

• Gas Safe Registered (essential)
• Minimum 5 years’ domestic installation experience
• Strong technical skills in boiler installations, servicing and repairs
• NVQ Level 2 or recognised apprenticeship
• Excellent customer service and communication
• Able to work independently
• DBS check required (considered individually)

Desirable qualifications:
OFTEC, LPG, G3 Unvented, experience with Worcester Bosch / Vaillant / Baxi / Ideal.

Experience Required

• Domestic heating installation: 5 years
• Domestic breakdown and fault-finding (preferred)
