Job Description:

Working as part of the service engineering team you will work with clients across the UK to provide technical support and expert knowledge across a range of electromechanical products.
  
Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + overtime
Location: Oakham
  
Van, Specialist Tools, PPE and Company Credit Card are all provided with role.
  
ACR are proud to be partnered with a world leading engineering group who are expanding their engineering team due to increased workload and company growth. This role forms part of a larger service engineering division who work both on site and field based to fault find, repair and rebuild electromechanical devices.
 
Electrical Engineer’s Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out fault diagnosis, repair, service, and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment both in-house and on customer sites as required.
• Perform equipment health checks, testing, and quality inspections to ensure assets meet operational and safety standards.
• Complete rewinding and overhaul activities on electrical machines in line with agreed specifications, using appropriate materials, tooling, and techniques.
• Provide clear technical support to customers and internal teams, including guidance and mentoring for junior engineers when required.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete relevant documentation in line with company procedures and engineering best practice.

  
Skills & Experience Required as an Electrical Engineer:

• Previous experience working with both electrical and mechanical machinery ideally to include motors, transformers, alternators, generators or loadbanks
• Previous field service engineer work (desirable)
• Relevant engineering qualifications such as HNC, Apprenticeship, Degree or NVQ
• Need to be able to move independently as well as collaborate with a wider engineering team on larger projects
• Must have a full clean UK driving license

This Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who has come from an engineering or manufacturing background working as a Electrical Technician, CHP Technician, Generator Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer or Field Service Engineer. Ideal commuting towns could include Peterborough, Stamford, Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Corby or Spalding.
