Night Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Coalville
Starting Salary: £46,000 (rising to £49,000 after 6 months), £49,000 in year one upon passing probation
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM (8-hour shift) – No Weekends
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Easily commutable from: Leicester, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Hinckley, Swadlincote, Coalville, and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance on machinery
• Diagnose and repair faults — not just reset
• Read and work from electrical schematics
• Work closely with production teams to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and address recurring issues
• Follow all safety procedures and site policies

  
What You’ll Need

• NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Electrical Engineering
• Proven maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (FMCG preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Strong fault-finding skills and logical problem-solving approach
• PLC knowledge (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is advantageous but not essential
• Team player with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic
