
Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday across early and late shifts, including weekend working on a rota

Job Objective & Responsibilities
An Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer is required to work as part of a site‑based engineering team, delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to electrical, mechanical, and building fabric assets within a retail property environment.
This role requires a proactive, safety‑focused engineer with strong fault‑finding skills and a professional, customer‑focused approach.
Main Duties
Person Specification Essential
City & Guilds / NVQ in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Installation & Maintenance (or equivalent)
City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing
City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Time‑served apprenticeship or equivalent training
Strong knowledge of building services engineering
Previous experience working within a team environment
Customer‑focused and professional approach
Smart, presentable appearance
Logical and methodical fault‑finding skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
Self‑motivated with the ability to manage workload effectively
Flexible and adaptable to changing operational requirements
Willing to support colleagues and contribute positively to the team
Desirable
IPAF and/or PASMA
Experience using Microsoft Office, CMMS, and Building Management Systems (BMS)
HVAC and wider Building Services Engineering experience
