Electrician

Job Description:

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a skilled Elecrician to join North West Leicestershire Council's Housing Service on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Undertake all electrical works to the required standards and current regulations, following manufacturer’s instructions

• Carry out diagnostic fault finding across a wide range of domestic installations

• Complete all tasks efficiently, safely, and to a high-quality standard

• Accurately complete job records, SOR codes, and materials usage using a mobile PDA device

• Conduct work surveys to identify required materials and works

• Maintain vehicle stock levels to support a Right First Time approach

• Comply fully with Health & Safety legislation, policies, and procedures

• Ensure compliance with Awaab’s Law and HHSRS standards

• Deliver a customer-focused service, supporting continuous improvement

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)

• Experience working in domestic properties, ideally within social housing

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Full UK driving licence
