Electronics Engineer

Job Description:

Tech Connect Group has exclusively partnered with a R&D company who require an Electronics Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. 

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, within a cross-functional team of engineers, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, testing and delivery of the electronic and electrical elements of this technology. 

Key responsibilities:
 

• Primarily responsible for the specification, concept, design, packaging and execution of electronic and electrical systems (digital & analogue) in line with targets for performance, quality, weight and cost.
• Assembly and testing of circuit boards, including low voltage and high voltage, using a variety of equipment.
• Work closely with a team of varied disciplines to coordinate the smooth introduction of new technology into varied prototype, demonstration, and testing/qualification platforms.
• Support the engineering R&D team and wider business to ensure products, processes, and documentation are aligned with automotive industry expectations and standards.

Required Experience and Expertise:
 

• Degree qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline
• Experience with soldering, both through-hole and surface-mounted components
• Proven track record of system/component design and delivery within an automotive or aerospace environment. Relevant design experience in telecommunications or other electronics may be considered.
• Experience in PCB design and knowledge of Altium.
• Experiences in the use of software for schematic capture, PCB layout tools, DFM and AEC-Q100
• Excellent fault-finding skills are essential, as is a willingness to be hands-on when required.
