Job Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 38 hours per week
Salary: £29,000 - £30,000 per annum pro rata

Our UK facility is co located on the Rolls-Royce campus on Victory Road, Derby, our largest UK customer.
We are close to the A50, M1 and M42 and within a short commute time from Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their skills working in a fast paced and skilled team. The role of Engineering Support Assistant is responsible for supporting the Engineering Team in amending technical drawings, interrogating drawings for inspection tolerances and uploading to the company SAP system.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• To amend engineering drawings using PDF software
• To create “Information for Test” documents, highlighting required test dimensions using specific software
• Upload completed documentation to SAP
• Ensure document control is retained on all amended/created drawings for internal purposes
• To be responsible for undertaking Engineering Index checking for all Engine Tooling and resolving any issues that may arise.
• To carry out Material Master Creation and documentation upload
• To download latest drawing information from customer database
• Manage the “Engineering” gate on the RFQ database
• Manage the industrialization tasks within manufacture with SAP
• To classify tools in relation to standards such as certification and customer requirements
• Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Team Lead Manufacturing Engineer or Head of Industrialisation Tooling

Experience and Knowledge:

• Excellent communication skills, ability to build relationships and communicate with a range of internal and external customers at all levels within the business and act effectively with tact and diplomacy at all times.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-disciplined with excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to prioritise tasks and deal with a number of queries simultaneously.
• To be computer literate to a high standard
• Able to use PDF software to amend/add text
• Experience and interest within Engineering fields is advantageous
• Willingness to develop and commit to further engineering qualifications and training as the role progresses
• Knowledge of Engineering Drawings is advantageous
• Knowledge of SAP is advantageous
