EYFS Teaching Assistant – Primary School

We are currently recruiting for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support within a primary school setting. This role involves working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting their development through play-based learning and structured activities.

Role responsibilities include:

• Supporting children within EYFS (Nursery/Reception)
• Assisting with early learning activities including phonics, numeracy, and communication skills
• Supporting play-based learning both indoors and outdoors
• Helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
• Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis where required
• Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom routines and activities

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working within an EYFS setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to support children’s early development and learning
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

This role is ideal for someone passionate about early years education and supporting children at the start of their learning journey.
