Location: Derby-based with UK travel
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 + van + overtime

We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to support rail HVAC and mechanical systems across UK client sites. This mobile role blends hands-on diagnostics with customer-facing service delivery, backed by a well-established Derby-based engineering firm that’s expanding fast.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Conducting on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of rail HVAC/mechanical units
- Liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure high service standards
- Completing documentation and upholding safety protocols
- Travelling to client sites across the UK (with occasional overnight stays)
- Supporting workshop operations when required
What You’ll Bring
- Strong background in HVAC or mechanical engineering
- FGAS certification and rail experience (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Confidence working independently and managing your own field schedule
