Field Service Technician

Job Description:

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants more than a bench or a desk. As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be out with customers, solving real problems, learning specialist equipment, and building a long-term technical career with a global manufacturer that genuinely invests in its people.

You will be joining the UK subsidiary of a German company, a global leader in industrial coding and marking systems. They specialise in innovative, contact-free solutions for product marking, traceability, and verification across industries including manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, and more. Based in Hinckley, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality customer support and tailored solutions from the Midlands office.

What you’ll be getting stuck into as a Field Service Technician

• Installing and commissioning equipment at customer sites across the UK
• Carrying out servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Training customers on equipment use, software, and consumables
• Providing technical support via phone, remote access, and site visits
• Managing installations to agreed timelines and customer expectations
• Supporting workshop activities when required, including inspections

What you’ll bring to the table as a Field Service Technician

• A full UK driving licence
• Basic technical or mechanical understanding
• Experience working with customers or end users in a technical environment
• The ability to follow processes, diagnose faults, and resolve issues
• The right to work in the UK

Working hours
Monday to Friday, standard business hours, with occasional out-of-hours callouts on a rota basis.
