Finance Assistant

Job Description:

We’re currently partnering with a well-established manufacturing business based in Desborough, to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
 

• £26,000 - £28,000
• Working hours 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
• 22 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays

Duties and responsibilities:

• Purchase ledger (matching, batching and coding of invoices)
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Sales ledger (raising invoices, posting invoices, credit notes)
• Reconciling bank statements
• Credit control
• Query resolution
• Payroll (processing from T&A system) and setting up new starters
• Expenses
• VAT returns

Skills and experience required:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role
• Knowledge of working with client ERP systems
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Excellent attention to detail
