GXO are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our Premier Foods contract, to be based at our Tamworth site, with a level of travel when required.

This role is being offered as a 15-month fixed term contract, working full time, the core hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00. However, we do require a level of flexibility - this is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Oversee the production of both financial and operational management reporting, to include P&L statements and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all accruals and prepayments are justified and are in line with the accounting standards
• Preparation of data and reports to be presented to the business and customer, also assisting with analysis for future business proposals
• Use initiative and judgement to support the senior leadership team in delivering operational excellence, challenging the status quo and delivering maximum benefit to the business
• Be responsible for the wellbeing, performance and motivation of your finance team through regular performance dialogues, objective setting and coaching
• This is a customer facing role and there will be a strong emphasis on relationship building and collaboration

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Proven experience in a similar finance management role, ideally within a transport or logistics function
• Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
• Experience in building strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Familiarity with the principles of open book accounting would be beneficial
