Job Description:
Our fantastic client are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. You will ensure the timely and accurate recording and reporting of all financial information/transactions for the Business in accordance with recognised accounting standards and best practice. Candidates must be fully ACCA or CIMA qualified.
£60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.
Hybrid working.
Finance Manager - The Role:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts (including P & L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, Forecasting for 1-3 months ahead) for Board Meeting.
- Concise and timely communication of trends and issues that management need to be aware of including monthly and YTD variances.
- Preparation and communication of Sales Figures & Targets to Sales Managers & Directors for monthly analysis/bonus.
- Preparation & Management of annual accounts/statutory accounts/audit requirements & EOY
- Management and Overseeing of Credit Control at the KPI debtor day targets.
- Overall responsibility/nurturing and development for all areas / people within the Finance team, aiding in-supervision training and development including appraisal of accounts personnel as required.
- Preparation and submission of quarterly/annual VAT returns – professional Liaising with HMRC where needed.
- Oversee monthly supplier payments to ensure healthy cashflow and supplier terms are met.
- Ad-hoc management accounting/financial Information as requested/required – quickly and accurately to help Directors when needed.
- Preparation of Annual Budget for each Department along with constant department monitoring and regular review to ensure Budgets are on target/addressed if not.
Finance Manager - The Candidate:
- Appropriate accounting qualification/experience/background for responsibilities which will be ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Good knowledge of business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities & threats.
- Experience of working in Group of Companies / group structure, not essential but advisory.
- Being involved with implementation of systems and change management.
- High level of IT literacy.
- High level of proficiency in Excel.
- Team leadership skills.
- Good communication and relationship building skills.
- High level of attention to detail as accuracy and reliability of information paramount.
- Good level of commercial awareness.
