
Finance Manager
Leicester
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000, depending on experience.
Aztrum is excited to be working with a well-established and growing construction-based organisation delivering projects across a range of built environment sectors. My client pride themselves on their professional, collaborative culture and their commitment to high-quality project delivery. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities for this Finance Manager role:
Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all processes.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
Oversee project cost tracking, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance across construction projects.
Work closely with project managers and senior leadership to provide commercial and financial insight.
Manage payroll, invoicing, credit control, and supplier payments.
Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements, VAT returns, and statutory reporting.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors as required.
Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes.
Requirements for this Finance Manager role:
Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role.
Previous experience working within a construction company is vital.
Strong understanding of project-based accounting and cost control within construction.
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across both finance and operational teams.
