Financial Accountant

Job Description:

Senior Financial / Management Accountant - Leicester

Our client – a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Leicester – is seeking an experienced candidate to join its’ team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Production of management accounts,
• Control account reconciliations,
• Accruals & prepayments,
• Inventory controls,
• Managing fixed assets register,
• General ledger, incl. journal preparation & posting,
• VAT returns,
• Assist with completion of month-end, ad-hoc weekly / monthly reporting,
• Support with the annual statutory financial statement audit

• Balance Sheet reconciliations

The Right Person

• Qualified ACCA or ACA or ACMA
• Ideally with experience of imports & exports,
• Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
• Strong accounting skills to include both P&L and balance sheet
• Be able to unpick problems and deliver solutions
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
•   Able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team within a large organisation,
• Excellent planning, organisation skills and adherence to tight deadline,
• Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel (pivot charts / tables, macros, data models), Sage, Xero and, MS Dynamics 365 – Business Central (ERP).

Package

• Appointment Type: Permanent
• Salary: (subject to experience) £50,000 to £65,000
