Job Description:

Financial Accountant – 12 Month Fixed term Contract (Mat Cover)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 plus benefits DOE
Location: Nottingham (Hybrid)

Our client, a service business based in Nottingham, are seeking an accomplished finance professional to cover a maternity leave for up to 12 months.
This is a hands-on position where you will play a key part in delivering accurate group-level financial reporting, supporting the production of statutory accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Working closely with the senior team, you will also contribute to projects aimed at improving systems, processes, and reporting efficiency.

What you’ll do:

• Produce consolidated monthly financial results and assist with the year-end close
• Prepare and review statutory submissions and compliance returns
• Liaise with internal teams to gather, validate, and reconcile financial data
• Provide information to external auditors and manage queries
• Drive process enhancements to improve financial controls and reporting accuracy

About you:

• Part Qualified, Qualified or Qualified by Experience accountant with strong technical knowledge
• Skilled at preparing accurate reports and reconciling complex data sets
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communicator with the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams
