Working closely with the CFO, you’ll ensure financial integrity, lead system improvements, and support a talented finance team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust accounting practices.
- Oversee the year-end audit, maintaining a strong relationship with auditors and ensuring smooth delivery.
- Manage cash, banking and investments, optimising the charity’s use of funds.
- Support income and accounts payable processes, maintaining effective controls and identifying efficiencies.
- Drive system transformation, leading the implementation of a new finance system (Exchequer to Business Central).
- Ensure compliance, upholding financial regulations and internal control standards.
About You
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with solid post-qualification experience.
- Proven success in managing finance teams and complex financial operations.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and reporting skills.
- Experience in the charity or retail sector is highly desirable.
- Confident project leader, ideally with experience in finance system implementation.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
