Role & Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

• Interpreting financial data and performance trends to support planning, decisions, and future investment
• Leading the production of monthly reports, management accounts, and insights for board-level visibility
• Bringing consistency and accuracy to budgeting and forecasting across business units
• Building and refining financial models to guide scenario analysis and business strategy
• Championing cost control through clear reporting, regular reviews, and actionable insight
• Shaping team capability, culture, and performance — creating an environment where people thrive

About You as the Financial Controller:

• To excel in this role, you’ll bring a blend of technical expertise, commercial thinking, and leadership capability, ideally from a manufacturing environment.
• Be fully qualified.
• Someone who thrives on improving processes, not just maintaining them
• A natural team leader — experienced in developing talent and building a strong internal culture
• A confident communicator, able to engage and challenge senior non-finance stakeholders
• A skilled Excel user (pivots, lookups, formulas — the essentials)
• Someone who takes ownership of their own growth and progression
