- SSSTS or SMSTS - essential
Experience:
- A strong background in construction industry, supported by a minimum of three years' experience in finishing / internals management role
- Proven track record of working as a Finishing Manager for a reputable construction contractor
Key Skills:
- Competent IT / software skills
- Comprehensive health and safety knowledge
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to organise and manage project schedules
- A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards
- Proven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively
- Knowledgeable of construction processes, techniques, and materials

- Exceptional focus on detail to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to play a key role in the final delivery of a £12m healthcare facility in Derbyshire. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all internal finishing works, snagging and close-out activities. The role requires strict adherence to building regulations and detailed project specifications to ensure the facility is delivered to the highest clinical and construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inductions
- Tool box talks
- Site safety inductions
- Liaise with external stakeholders
- Conduct and attend routine site meetings
- Address any problems or disputes that arise throughout
- Reporting regularly and consistently to the Project Manager
- Recognise possible threats to the works, implementing strategies to address them
- Coordinate and manage daily site activities, overseeing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements at all times
- Managing resources such as materials, equipment, and labor to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively
- Maintaining precise records of all project elements, such as contracts, permits, change orders, and communications
- Enhance and maintain positive client relationships by resolving concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with project developments
