Food Production Operative

Job Description:

The Butchers Recruiter have several Food Production Operative positions urgently required in Coventry, CV2 2QB. This is a long-term opportunity with ongoing work. You will be working in a chilled environment, handling raw or cured meat (pork/bacon) through processing, slicing, packing, and delivery — all to customer specifications and quality standards.

Working hours:
(Two-week rotating pattern)

• 06:00 – 18:00 or 18:00 – 06:00
• Week One: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday
• Week Two: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Pay rates:

• Day Shift: £12.77 per hour
• Night Shift: £13.27 per hour

What you’ll be doing as Food Production Operative: 

• Processing, slicing, and weighing products
• Grading and packing to customer specs
• Checking labels and packaging
• Palletising finished goods
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Reporting health & safety concerns
• Working as part of a team to meet targets
• Following all company policies and procedures
