FLT Counterbalance Driver

Location: Beeston, near Nottingham (NG9 1PF)

Pay Rate: £12.50 – £13.30 per hour

Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Days) or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Nights)

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (after a 12-week probation)

Vital People is currently recruiting experienced FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy and well-established site near Nottingham (Beeston).

This is a great opportunity to secure long-term work with the potential to go permanent for reliable and hardworking candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an FLT Counterbalance safely and efficiently within a warehouse or yard environment
• Unload materials and merchandise from vehicles, stacking and organising stock in designated areas
• Move stock to pallets or crates for storage and dispatch
• Carry out manual handling tasks, including picking, wrapping pallets, and stock taking
• Support general yard maintenance and material movement to production workstations
• Ensure all work meets health and safety standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Valid RTITB or ITSSAR Counterbalance licence (in-house licences not accepted)
• Comfortable with manual handling (up to 25kg)
• Attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work day or night shifts as required
