Formwork Design Technician

Job Description:

Bennett & Game are representing a well-respected engineering consultancy based in Burton-upon-Trent, currently seeking to appoint a Formwork Design Technician. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative temporary works, they are looking for an ambitious technician to join their growing team. • Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.

• Produce design drawings, calculations and material call-offs under supervision.
• Carry out self-checks before passing designs to the Team Leader for approval.
• Check preliminary drawings from other team members when requested.
• Develop CAD skills and adopt the latest design office software and techniques.
• Liaise with sales teams and clients as required by Team Leader/Senior Engineer.
• Attend site visits and provide on-site assistance where needed.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards, construction techniques and company products.
• Assist with the training of formwork trainees in the team.
• Undertake continuous professional development and training as directed.

• Minimum HNC/HND in Civil Engineering; Civil Engineering degree preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D essential; Revit and structural analysis software is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within temporary works/formwork design.
• Awareness of formwork, falsework and geotechnical systems an advantage.
