The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Functional Skills Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching in English, Maths, and ICT at Entry Level to Level 2. You will support learners in FE and adult education settings, preparing them for work, apprenticeships, and further study.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and tailored Functional Skills sessions across varying ability levels.
• Plan, prepare, and assess learners' work in line with awarding body requirements.
• Monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback and support.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of learner achievements and attendance.

Essential Criteria:

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
• DBS and on update service (Can sort this if not)
• Relevant subject qualification in English and/or Maths at Level 3 or higher.
• Experience delivering Functional Skills in an FE or adult learning setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for supporting learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Desirable:

• Assessor or verifier qualification (A1, IQA).
• Experience with online learning platforms and blended delivery.
