Salary: £150-£260 per day (paid weekly)

Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions
• Inspire students to develop a love of Geography through enquiry-based learning and real-world case studies across KS3–KS5
• Use innovative teaching strategies to support a range of learning styles and abilities
• Participate in school trips, fieldwork and extra-curricular activities that bring the subject to life
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback to help every learner succeed
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills following the school’s behaviour policy
• Work in partnership with parents/carers, ensuring open, respectful and timely communication to celebrate success and address concerns
• Engage in continuous professional learning, embracing feedback and contribute to departmental excellence

Qualifications and Experience:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2025 document)
• Proven experience teaching Geography at Secondary level (KS3/KS4, KS5 desirable)

Vetting Checks:

• Right to Work in the UK (No Limitations)
• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (Child/Child & Adult Workforce)
• Reference checks covering the last 2 years of employment or education
