Setter Operator – Centreless Grinding

• Location: Wigston, Leicester
• Shifts:Day shift or Rotating shift pattern + overtime flexibility
• Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: £15 - £18 pe hour

Our client, a leading manufacturer in high-spec components, is seeking a skilled Setter Operator – Centreless Grinding to join their dynamic production team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Setting and operating CNC-controlled centreless grinding machines to exacting standards
• Machining parts in diverse materials to tolerances as tight as 10 microns
• Conducting in-process checks using micrometers, shadow graphs, laser micrometers, and digital callipers
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
• Supporting across departments and operating multiple machines simultaneously
• Maintaining accurate records and following company manufacturing procedures

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in a CNC grinding environment (centreless grinding preferred)
• Strong understanding of precision engineering and quality control
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• A team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and occasional overtime
• High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and safety standards
