Leicester City Centre
Up to £35,000 DOE
Full-Time, Daytime Hours, Weekends Essential
 
Our client is a Scandinavian, New York inspired brunch restaurant built on friendship, connection, and exceptional coffee. Their calm, design led space offers a welcoming home for people who appreciate craft, from perfectly pulled espresso shots to beautifully plated brunch dishes.
 
Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to lead their coffee program and set the standard for quality, consistency and guest experience.
 
The role

• Lead all aspects of coffee preparation, presentation, and quality control
• Train, mentor and develop the barista team to deliver exceptional coffee consistently
• Own grinder calibration, dial-ins, and coffee workflow during service
• Lead by example during busy brunch services
• Support daily operations, service flow, and guest experience
• Manage coffee stock, supplier orders, and waste control
• Maintain excellent customer service, resolving issues professionally 
• Ensure full compliance with EHO, food safety and hygiene standards
• Stay ahead of coffee trends and innovations

 
The candidate

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a senior or lead barista
• Experience in latte art is essential
• Strong technical coffee knowledge and a passion for specialty coffee
• Confident leading a team and managing workflow under pressure
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Basic food hygiene / EHO knowledge desirable
• Weekend availability is essential
