Head of Finance Operations & Transformation
Hirexo are partnering with a rapidly scaling technology services organisation in the East Midlands. As part of continued growth and investment into its finance capability, the business is seeking an experienced Head of Finance Operations & Transformation to lead finance operations and drive technology-led change across the function.
This role operates on a hybrid basis and is easily commutable from Leicester, Leicestershire, Loughborough, Market Harborough, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.

The Opportunity
This is a senior, hands-on role focused on building a modern, scalable finance function through the intelligent use of finance technology, systems and process improvement.
The Head of Finance Operations & Transformation will take ownership of finance operations while leading transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, control and scalability across the business. This role offers the opportunity to make genuinely impactful change within a progressive and fast-moving technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading finance operations teams, including billing, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, providing leadership, direction and oversight.
- Driving finance transformation initiatives, leveraging automation, systems and modern finance tools to improve efficiency and control.
- Reviewing and redesigning finance processes to support scale, pace and accuracy.
- Implementing new finance systems and optimising existing tools, using prior experience to navigate challenges and maximise value.
- Ownership of treasury operations, managing and developing the treasury function and overseeing cash flow, banking relationships and debt facilities.
- Leading finance input into tax strategy and transfer pricing, working with external advisors as required.
- Strengthening financial controls, governance and operational resilience across the finance function.
- Acting as a senior finance partner to stakeholders across the business.
- Remaining hands-on and visible within the finance team, supporting day-to-day activity when needed.
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Strong experience in finance operations and finance transformation within a fast-growing or technology-led environment.
- Proven track record of implementing finance systems and tools, with a clear understanding of what drives successful adoption.
- Strong knowledge of modern finance technology and automation.
- Experience leading or working closely with AP, AR and billing teams.
- Commercial, pragmatic and adaptable, comfortable operating in an agile, evolving business.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Package & Benefits
- Base salary: £80,000 – £95,000 depending on experience
