Job Description:

📍 Location: 2nd Floor, Suite 7, Anson Court, Burton-on-trent, DE14 1NG, UK

💼 Salary: £70,000 – £100,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Health and Safety to lead our health and safety strategy across all UK operations. This is a pivotal role that will ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and foster a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy aligned with AB Group’s values and operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant UK health and safety legislation and industry standards.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Provide expert guidance and training to site managers and teams.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to embed health and safety into business planning and decision-making.
• Monitor and report on performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety) – essential.
• Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) – highly desirable.
• Proven experience in a senior health and safety role within construction or a related industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams and environments.
