Head of Quality

• Newly created position that will oversee the quality function within a precision engineering environment. 

• Extremely strong order book with plans for further expansion. This is an excellent time to be a part of the team. 

• Would suit a proven Head of Quality / Senior Quality Manager from a precision engineering / aerospace background. 

We’re looking for a Head of Quality who can take full ownership of quality across the business. Reporting to the Technical Director, you’ll lead the Quality function, set direction, and make sure our systems, processes, and people consistently deliver to customer and regulatory requirements.

This is a practical leadership role. You’ll have a Quality Manager reporting into you and will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to prevent issues rather than just react to them.

Salary: c£65,000 to £70,000 as an initial guide. Private healthcare. 25 days holiday + banks. 

The Head of Quality role will involve;

• Taking overall responsibility for Quality across the business

• Owning and improving the Quality Management System (AS9100 / ISO 9001)

• Leading customer, regulatory, and certification audits from start to finish

• Making sure non-conformances are properly understood, corrected, and prevented

• Supporting NPI, engineering changes, and production improvements

• Managing and developing the Quality Manager and wider Quality team

• Working with suppliers to improve quality and reduce risk

The Head of Quality job would suit;

• Strong quality leadership experience in a precision engineering environment. Background in aerospace and/or power generation manufacturing would be an advantage. 

• Solid working knowledge of AS9100/EN9100 and ISO 9001

• Confident dealing with customers, auditors, and certification bodies

• Practical problem-solver who’s comfortable on the shop floor

• Experience leading and developing quality teams
