Job Description:
Our prestigious client based in Nuneaton is currently seeking a Health and Safety Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential administrative and operational support within the Health & Safety function, helping to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day health and safety support and advice to employees and managers.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the health and safety management system across all services.
- Support the preparation of health and safety training presentations.
- Take accurate minutes during meetings and distribute actions as required.
- Manage written enquiries, Freedom of Information requests, and invoicing, as directed by the Health and Safety Manager.
- Contribute to the creation, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Upload asbestos survey information to the Council’s asbestos management database and maintain accurate records following periodic re-inspections.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven administrative experience (essential).
- Physical presence at the Town Hall is required.
- Recent experience in taking accurate minutes of meetings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety principles.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
