Health and Safety Coordinator

Job Description:

Health and Safety Coordinator, £35K - £40K pro rata, commutable from Ashby, Coalville, Leicester, Loughborough.

• Are you a proactive Health and Safety Coordinator / Health and Safety Officer / H&S Officer / Health and Safety Advisor that will enjoy coordinating health and safety across a growing engineering SME?
• £35K - £40K pro rata salary guide + benefits including 25 days holiday & company pension.
• Part time role, approx. 25 -30 hours per week with flexibility on working days (4 or 5 days) and working hours.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety professional who will enjoy working in a dynamic, people-focused environment.

Your background as a Health and Safety Coordinator / H&S Officer:

• You will have previously worked in a Health & Safety or HSE role, ideally within an engineering, industrial, or manufacturing setting.
• You will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
• You are an effective communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• You enjoy working both independently and alongside diverse teams to drive a positive safety culture.

Health and Safety Coordinator / H&S Officer Responsibilities:

• Coordinating Health & Safety compliance across multiple local sites.
• Promoting a proactive safety culture, ensuring all activities meet legal and company standards.
• Carrying out risk assessments, COSHH reviews, audits, and incident investigations.
• Delivering internal safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and briefings.
• Maintaining and improving H&S systems and records.
• Providing practical advice and support to colleagues at every level of the organisation.
