£47,000 OTE £53,000 (Enhanced Overtime available)

HGV Technician - We currently have a number of exciting opportunities for experienced HGV Technicians for a long standing and well-respected commercial vehicle service business in the Loughborough area. Our client is constantly expanding and specialise in HGV's, trailers and Tanker repairs.

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technicians to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be adept at maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

The job: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic

· Perform detailed inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGV assets, maintaining the highest standards of safety and functionality.

· The role of the HGV Technician is to carry out all aspects of maintenance, including servicing, inspection, repairs, breakdowns, diagnosis and any other workshop related task that could be reasonably expected

· Accurately and efficiently complete all compliance documentation.

· Diagnose and resolve issues using EBS systems such as HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE.

· Participate in ongoing product and industry training, including IRTEC, tail lift, BPW & SAF axle/brake training to continuously develop your expertise.

· Deliver exceptional customer service while meeting tight deadlines.

· Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and secure work environment

· Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with customers and employees of all levels is essential, as are a 'can do attitude' and problem-solving skills.

Experience required: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic

· Semi-Trailer or Heavy Vehicle experience.

· Industry standard qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQs.

Desireable

· HGV Class 1 driving licence.

· IRTEC accreditation.

· EBS diagnostics experience, including Knorr Bremse, Haldex, and WABCO systems.

· Welding certification.

· Training or experience with axle manufacturers such as BPW, SAF, or JOST.

· Double deck or lifting deck maintenance experience
