Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support across KS1 and KS2 within a primary school setting. This role involves taking on additional responsibility, including leading lessons and supporting teaching and learning across the school.

Role responsibilities include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2
• Leading whole-class lessons in the absence of the teacher
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning
• Working with small groups to provide targeted support
• Supporting lesson planning and classroom organisation
• Assisting with assessment and monitoring pupil progress
• Maintaining a positive and structured learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

• HLTA status
• Previous experience working across KS1 and KS2
• Confidence in leading a class independently
• Strong classroom management skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
