Location: Nottingham, NG7
Day Rate: £120-£140 per day
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role

Long Term Futures are working with a well-regarded primary school in Nottingham, rated "Good" by Ofsted, to appoint a skilled and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant. This role involves delivering planned lessons in the absence of the teacher, supporting learning across the curriculum, and providing additional support to children with SEN needs. You'll also take on a mentoring role with other support staff, help embed school-wide routines, and play an active part in promoting a positive learning environment. This position is full-time with the opportunity to move into a permanent post.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside teaching staff to plan and deliver engaging, effective lessons.
• Provide academic and emotional support to pupils with additional needs.
• Take the lead in the classroom when required, including short-term cover.
• Guide and mentor junior support staff and contribute to staff development.
• Track and report on pupil progress to colleagues and parents/carers.

What We're Looking For

• A recognised Level 4 HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Strong classroom experience in a primary setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A collaborative mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young learners.
