As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you’re not just a support figure - you’re a learning leader, a bridge between teachers and pupils, and a consistent presence that helps education feel safe, inclusive, and empowering.
Whether you’re covering lessons, leading small-group interventions, or providing targeted support for learners with additional needs, you’ll be playing a pivotal role in shaping student outcomes, both academic and personal.
You may be supporting students with:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
ADHD and attention-based challenges
Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Learning differences such as dyslexia or dyscalculia
✨ What We’re Looking For:
✔ HLTA qualification, or extensive classroom experience with confidence leading lessons
✔ Experience working with children or young people in educational settings
✔ A calm, confident approach to behaviour and learning support
✔ Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
✔ Interest in inclusive education and a belief in every learner’s potential
✔ Availability for full-time roles ideally (Mon–Fri), with flexibility for part-time applicants
